Audiology – VRA Assessments East of England
Background and requirement
The Trust provides a range of children’s community-based healthcare services. They sought an insourcing provider to assist with clearing a backlog of 600 children awaiting VRA assessments across multiple Children and Young People’s Centres. They required a provider who was able to ensure each patient assessed had a full report, including results of assessment, clinical reasoning and onward plan or discharge.
Solution and results
Tasked with clearing the backlog, GWS brought in a team of experienced lead paediatric audiologists, and second testers and booked clinics around the services' available room space.
GWS engaged with the service to offer a bespoke package that fit their needs, arranging both morning and afternoon clinics as well as weekend clinics, working in collaboration with their existing timetable ensuring maximum efficiency and seamless integration.
GWS can mobilise their full team in a very short space of time ensuring the service can utilise the insourcing solution within weeks of the call-off contract.
